Floating water mill. This mill, largely a reconstruction, is tethered to the banks of the River Mur, near Mureck, Southern Austria. The flow of the river turns the large wheel (centre left), which can be lowered into the water whenever power is required. The wheel is connected to milling machinery, used to grind flour. It is believed to be the only working example in Europe of a type of water mill that was once common throughout the continent.
