Sunlight seen through the back of a solar cell array. Large arrays of solar cells can form a solar power station, although the cost of producing the vast number of solar cells required may be prohibitive. For very large solar power stations, an array of mirrors is used to focus sunlight onto a thermoelectric generator. The 'starburst' effect was created by the photographer with a filter.
