Rows of solar reflectors at an experimental solar power station located near Albuquerque, New Mexico. This facility consists of an array of heliostats, large mirrors mounted on moveable frames, which track the sun across the sky and concentrate its light onto a heat exchanger mounted on top of a tower at the centre of the site. A pressurized fluid inside the heat exchanger carries the heat to a steam generator. The steam created drives turbines to produce electricity.
