Solar powered car. Solectria Flash solar powered car drives down a road. This 3-wheeled car has photovoltaic cells on its roof which convert sunlight into electricity to power its single motor. At times of low light the car uses batteries which give it a range of 190-250 kilometres. It can carry two people to a top speed of 112 kilometres per hour. Solar powered cars produce no pollution.
