Gamma ray facility. Physicists using a cobalt-60 therapy level gamma ray facility. This facility comprises a Theratron radiotherapy irradiator, which is used to test materials for the nuclear, aerospace, defence and electronics industries so that manufacturers can calibrate their devices against the national standards.
