Nuclear power plant generator. Technician monitoring the generator at the Sizewell B nuclear power station. Sizewell B is a pressurised water reactor (PWR), in which water is heated by the nuclear reaction. This water heats another, isolated, water system, which is converted into steam. The steam drives the large generators, converting the nuclear energy into usable electricity. Sizewell B produces around 1200 megawatts (MW) of electricity. Sizewell B is located in Suffolk, England.
