Nuclear research centre, Russia. This area is the Pulsar unit, opened in 1991 for research into the effects of radiation. This research is being conducted at the Russian Federal Nuclear Center and the All-Russian Experimental Physics Research Institute, where research is carried out on nuclear weapons and their effects, as well as nuclear power. Photographed in 2005, in Sarov, in the Nizhny Novgorod region of Russia.
