Gas turbine power station (lower centre). Gas turbine power stations consist of a compressor in which the gas (usually air) is compressed, a combustion chamber for heating the compressed air, and a turbine. The hot compressed air turns the turbine to generate electricity. Gas turbine power stations may run on a variety of fuels. Photographed at Penny's Bay, Hong Kong, China.
