Overloaded plug socket. Three-pin plugs on a mains adaptor in an electrical socket. These plugs are attached to the UK's National Grid; 240 volt alternating current. Pushing the socket switch closes the circuit allowing connection of an electric appliance. There is a danger that attaching too many plugs to one socket will cause it to become overloaded, leading to the possibility of an electrical fire.
