RHex has been designed to be able to cross a wide range of terrains by mimicking living creatures (biomimetics). RHex has six legs, and is programmed to use several locomotion techniques used by insects, which also have six legs. RHex is a joint project between McGill University, the University of Michigan and the University of California at Berkeley. Photographed at the University of Michigan, USA.
