Robot controlled hat. Girl wearing a hat controlled by the robot Lego brick attached to the wire of the hat. This programmable Lego brick, known as a Cricket, contains a tiny, portable computer, capable of interacting with the physical world through sensors and motors. This Cricket is receiving data from an infrared communication system from another Cricket which is controlling an experiment at bottom right. The first Cricket will then display numbers on the dials accordingly. Crickets could also be used to measure bodily activities, such as the heartbeat.
