The 70-metre diameter antenna of the Goldstone satellite tracking station, California. Goldstone, which also has 3 smaller antennae, is one of the key stations in the Deep Space Network or DSN, NASA's worldwide spacecraft tracking & communications complex. The DSN sends commands to & acquires data from NASA's planetary missions, such as the two Voyager spacecraft that visited Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, & Neptune in 1979-1989.
