Resistors. View of a series of resistors for use on electronic circuit boards. A resistor is a device used to impede the flow of electricity in a particular area. The coloured rings around the resistors are a code showing the amount of resistance the resistor has. Resistors arrive in this form at factories which make circuit boards. On the finished circuit, each resistor's metal ends are soldered to the board.
