Death of computing. Computer artwork of lightning striking behind a broken computer in a wasteland. This could represent the end of the age of computing, perhaps due to a computer virus or the millennium bug. Computer viruses are programs written to deliberately infect, and often corrupt, computers. They are particularly damaging if they manage to infect computer networks. The millennium bug could also cause severe computing problems. Many computers only store the last two digits of the year in their internal calendars. At the change from '99' to '00' at the year 2000, computers may think it is 1900 and crash.
