The distinctive shape & bright colouring of a CRAY X-MP/48 supercomputer dominates a large computer room. The CRAY X-MP/48 consists of four central processors. It has a capacity of 8 million bits of shared memory & 128 million words (1 giga-octet) of solid state memory.
