Interactive computer. Researcher playing a game on an eye access interactive computer system. He has a small camera mounted on his head which tracks the movements of his eye and translates it into the movements of a pointer on the screen. The camera's view is seen on the monitor at lower right. The text on the screen at centre informs the man (in French) to blink to validate his command. This system could be used to help severely disabled people who cannot use a mouse or keyboard to interact with computers. As well as games, facilities such as word processors, voice synthesisers and even software to control devices in the home could be operated using this system.
