Virtual reality display. Silhouetted user interacting with a virtual reality display of a molecule of DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid). DNA is the molecule that forms the basis of genetics. Virtual reality (VR) is where a person interacts with a computer-generated reality, usually for training, leisure or educational purposes. The person wears goggles that depict the environment in which they are moving. Some VR systems have additional sensors that integrate the person's actions into the display. This display is part of the annual exhibition and conference on VR held in Laval, France. Photographed in May 2003.
