Artificial brains. Conceptual computer artwork of brains being created from silicon circuits. This represents neuromorphic engineering, the concept of designing computer circuits to mimic biological structures like brains and retinas and cochleas. This design approach recognises that biological evolution has produced structures that already perform certain tasks very well, and using brute computing power may not be the best way to create artifical alternatives.
