It is controlled remotely and can fly at speeds of over 70 kilometres per hour. It can remain airborne for up to an hour, and can carry a payload weighing up to 15 grams. This aircraft could be used to perform surveillance work, test air quality and assist the police. The Black Widow was designed and built at AeroVironment Incorporated, a design company which makes non- polluting and energy-efficient vehicles, based in California, USA.
