The fuel tank of a car that runs on Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG). The gas in this case is propane, kept under a pressure of 200 bars. This pressure is required to keep the gas liquid in normal temperature conditions. This car, a Fiat 131, was manufactured in Italy, where LPG may be purchased at most petrol stations. LPG is also widely available on the Continent, but is not available in UK petrol stations. The engine may be adjusted to run on conventional petrol.
