Caption

De-icing a car windscreen. Pressurised can being used to spray a de-icing liquid onto an iced-up car windscreen. This de-icing liquid contains ethylene glycol, a chemical with a low melting point (minus 13 degrees Celsius). Because the ethylene glycol remains liquid, it causes the ice it comes into contact with to melt. This product is produced by Car Pride. Photographed in the UK.
