Electric tram in a street. Trams were common in the late 19th and early 20th centuries and are powered by electricity. The trolley pole on top of the car collects electrical power from the overhead wires. These trams are still being used in the 21st century as a modern, environmentally friendly form of transport. Photographed in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
