HMS Warrior, the world's first iron warship, in the historic dockyard at Portsmouth, England. When launched on December 29 1860 she was the largest and fastest ship in the world and the pride of Queen Victoria's fleet. She was withdrawn from sea service in 1883, and from 1904 supplied steam and electricity to other hulks in the Navy's torpedo training school. In 1979, restoration began in Hartlepool, and she finally returned home to Portsmouth in 1987, as a tourist attraction and museum.
