Lighthouse on Tierra del Fuego coastline. Seals and seabirds near a lighthouse in the Beagle Channel, Tierra del Fuego, Argentina. Called the Beagle Channel lighthouse, the lighthouse is also called the Las Eclaires lighthouse. It is an unmanned lighthouse in the Argentinean part of the channel, which lies at the southern end of South America. It is also known as the lighthouse at the end of the world. The channel and lighthouse are named after HMS Beagle, the ship on which Charles Darwin sailed, and from which he studied the inhabitants and the flora and fauna of Tierra del Fuego.
