Flight simulator. Inside of a Boeing 777 aircraft simulator. The interior is an accurate model of the flight deck of the real aeroplane. Realistic graphics (in this case, a simulated cloud layer) and instrument readings are generated by a computer depending on the pilots' actions. The simulator is mounted on six hydraulic legs to provide realistic movement. A wide variety of situations and problems can be simulated, ensuring that pilots are competent to fly a real plane, even in an emergency.
