Newtsuit rescue diver, from the French Navy, attaching an air line to a submarine. The Newtsuit is an atmospheric diving suit (ADS) that can descend to depths of over 250 metres while keeping the diver at atmospheric pressure. A thruster backpack is used to move around. Fluid- filled flexible joints (black) provide great dexterity. The suit can be used for a wide range of other underwater work, including salvage and marine research. Photographed in the Mediterranean Sea.
