Submerged statue. Statue carved by the sculptor Guy Tioti in the Polynesian style and submerged in Moorea Island's lagoon, French Polynesia. Tioti carves the statues from volcanic rock, drawing his inspiration from the legends of Polynesia, and the statues (tikis) often represent gods. They can be up to 4 metres high and weigh nearly 4 tonnes.
