Newtsuit rescue diver, from the French Navy, with the remotely-operated vehicle (ROV) Achilles. The Newtsuit is an atmospheric diving suit (ADS) that can descend to depths of over 250 metres while allowing the diver to work at atmospheric pressure. A thruster backpack lets him move around. The fluid-filled flexible joints (black) provide great dexterity. The suit can be used for a wide range of underwater work, such as salvage and aiding submarine rescue. Photographed in the French Mediterranean.
