Salmon fishing. Fisherman hauling in a catch of salmon from a coastal river trap at low tide. This is the Reidovaya River, on Iturup Island, which itself lies off the large island of Sakhalin in Russia's Far East. Sakhalin's dense river network supports a large number of migrating salmon arriving from the Pacific Ocean to breed. Photographed on 27 October 2005.
