Making artificial snow. Image 3 of 3. Glass of artificial snow (left) and an empty glass (right). The empty glass contained water that was added to the powder to produce the artificial snow. These are the basic ingredients of this artificial snow product. Adding water to the powder increases its bulk and creates a realistic artificial snow. This artificial snow is produced by Snow Business International Ltd, a company that has produced snow and winter effects for the film industry since 1982. Their products include Instant Snow (based on a polymer). For a sequence showing how to make this artificial snow, see images T742/085- 087.
