Copper sheets. A foundryman welds copper sheets. Copper was the first metal to be systematically used for tools by humans. Its discovery led to the Copper Age, and the discovery that it forms the stronger alloy bronze when mixed with tin led to the Bronze Age. Copper is easily worked, durable, pliable, and a good conductor of both heat and electricity.
