Recycling polythene. Coloured bags of polythene waste stockpiled prior to recycling. Waste polythene from industrial sources is loaded into a machine which macerates it with water and reforms it into pellets. The pellets are re- processed by an extrusion method to manufacture polythene sheeting, used in the building industry & other applications where the toxicity of the plastic is not a critical factor.
