The Beaubourg or Georges Pompidou Centre, Paris, designed by architects Panzi and Rogers. Structures such as heating ducts and this glass- enclosed escalator have been made external architectural features of the building. The Beaubourg houses the National Museum of Modern Art and various other temporary and permanent art exhibitions. London's Lloyds' building, similar in structure, was also designed by Richard Rogers.
