Fantasy architecture. The pyramid-shaped Luxor hotel, casino and amusement complex in Las Vegas, USA, seen at dusk. Luxor could be a model for the theme parks of the future. Instead of rollercoasters it has moving virtual reality rides such as the R360, in which players spin on all axes in a rotating sphere while taking part in a virtual dog-fight. Based on an Egyptian theme, the complex is housed in a huge glass pyramid next to a replica of the Sphinx. Inside is a 10-storey obelisk, ancient temples, boat trips on the Nile, a simulator ride through an Egyptian tomb, shops, restaurants and "inclinators" - elevators that scale the walls at an angle.
