Ice Hotel. Guest praying in the ice chapel of the Ice Hotel, a hotel within the Arctic Circle in Jukkasjarvi, Sweden, made entirely from snow and ice. The hotel is the largest igloo in the world. It is built every winter by spraying 30,000 tonnes of snow onto moulds which are removed once the snow has compacted. The hotel sleeps over 100 guests on ice beds covered in animal pelts. Visitors remain warm in their sleeping bags despite temperatures that drop to -9 degrees Celsius. Guests can also visit the ice exhibition hall, sauna or ice cinema, as well as drink from glasses made from ice in the ice bar. The hotel melts every May.
