London Eye. Close-up view showing the architecture and capsules of the British Airways London Eye (Millenium Wheel). This enormous structure opened in 2000 and it stands at 135 metres high. Each of the 32 observation capsules around the outside of the wheel can carry up to 25 people. It was designed by architects David Marks and Julia Barfield and is situated on the South Bank of the River Thames in Lambeth, London, UK.
