Amber Palace restoration. Construction workers on scaffolding during a UNESCO restoration project on the Amber Palace. The Amber Palace is part of the Amber Fort. Original construction of the building began in 1592 and it took around two centuries to complete. Built with red sandstone and white marble, it combines Mughal and Hindu architecture with highly decorative interiors. The Palace is a popular tourist attraction and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
