Wooden footbridge over a woodland stream beside a waterfall. The stream is Hareshaw Burn, part of Northumberland National Park, England. It flows through the wooded valley of Hareshaw Dene, a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). An SSSI is usually created to conserve the plants and animals found there, often in particularly rich diversity or as part of an ancient ecology, such as a mature woodland area.
