Russian miners. Group of miners in a lift going up after the end of their shift. This is the Gluboky uranium mine in the Chita region of Russia. In 2006, 2800 tons of uranium ore were extracted from this mine. The Chita region is located in south-eastern Siberia, bordering Mongolia and China. This mine is operated by the Priargunsky Industrial Mining and Chemical Association. Photographed on 8 August 2006.
