Cosmetics research. View of mascara being tested on artificial human skin. A rack of 12 plastic vials containing artificial human skin is seen. Forceps are seen lifting out one vial while mascara is applied to the human skin at it's base using a spatula. This artificial human skin is known as EPISKIN and is used as an alternative to animals when testing cosmetic products such as mascara. Photographed at the L'Oreal Laboratories, France.
