Paper mill. Paper mill machine for producing base paper. Paper consists of felted sheets of organic fibres. Paper is made from a fibrous material such as rags or wood pulp. The raw material is cleaned, broken up into its constituent fibres and has additives such as glue and fillers added. The wet fibres are then belt made of wire mesh which then passes through a series of rollers. The rollers squeeze out moisture, consolidate the strength of the pulp and smooth out its surface. After being dried on heated rollers the paper is smoothed again, wound onto rollers and cut for distribution.
