Milk processing. Vats of milk being pasteurized. Pasteurization is a process that involves heating milk to destroy pathogens. The two methods used are the "Holder method" that heats the milk to 65 degrees Celsius (C) for 30 minutes, and the "high- temperature short-time" method that heats the milk to 71 degrees Celsius for 15 seconds.
