Pile of harvested maize (Zea mays). This large pile of grain is due to a high yield harvest season. The normal storage units at the grain elevator (centre left) are already full, so the excess is being stored outside. A conveyor belt is seen at upper right, which is used to add more maize to the pile. Photographed in Shelton, Nebraska, USA.
