Military clothing. US Army flack jacket and Kevlar helmet. Kevlar can be spun into threads that are five times stronger than steel. It is best known for being used in bulletproof protective clothing and equipment, but is also an important component of boat hulls, ropes and parts of spacecraft. Photographed at the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center (MCAGCC), California, USA, in 2004.
