Second World War munitions factory. Female worker checking bomb cases at a US munitions factory during the Second World War (1939-1945). These are 1,000 pound bomb cases that will be filled with explosives and shipped to Allied bases and battlefronts all over the world. This factory is owned by the Firestone Tire and Rubber Company, and is in Omaha, Nebraska, USA. Photographed in May 1944.
