Wright Flyer. Orville Wright piloting the Wright Flyer II at Huffman Prairie, Ohio, USA, in November 1904. Following the first ever powered flight in the Wright Flyer I at Kitty Hawk in 1903, the brothers continued to develop their aircraft design. This resulted in an aircraft that was able to travel further and at greater altitude, due to the addition of a more powerful (16 horsepower) engine.
