Mathematical manuscript, from the 14th century, showing the Earth as a sphere, with the zodiacal constellations, the tropics of cancer and capricorn, and the 'oblique horizon', demonstrating fundamental points of medieval geocentric astronomy. The zodiac is the band running from upper right to lower left. The South Pole is at lower right, with the North Pole at upper left. The manuscript is held at the library of the Sorbonne University, Paris, France.
