Mallet's mortar, the largest mortar ever built, with some of its shells. This weapon was built in 1857 at Woolwich Arsenal, London, UK. It had a calibre of 91.4 centimetres and its shells contained 217 kilograms of gunpowder. It was never used in warfare.
