Honeybee workers on a comb within a commercial bee hive. The closed (sealed) cells contain the pupating bees which will emerge as adults. These are all worker bees which take approximately 21 days to complete the development from egg to adult. There is a nearly mature larval bee. There are 3 cells on the right which contain the fungal disease chalkbrood.
