Western tussock moth caterpillar. Bristly caterpillar of a western tussock moth (Orgyia vetusta) seen on a leaf. The leaf is from an English, or common, walnut tree (Juglans regia). This mature larva is an agricultural pest as it mainly feeds on young fruit and foliage.
